Marinship Development Interest was selected as the prime contractor to provide demolition services, debris removal and install concrete barrier wall and metal fencing under Oakland’s 880 Freeway and MacArthur Maze. The project will span from post mile R34.15 to R34.55 nearly a half mile of unsheltered encampment cleanup

In addition to forming, placing and finishing over 2300 lineal feet of concrete barrier wall and four (4) foot high vinyl-clad fence, our crews will provide waste removal and abandoned vehicle hauling. The scope of work also includes installing barriers, storm strain extensions and lights underneath the freeway overpass with 24 hour security services. As part of the larger Caltrans I-880 Oakland-Alameda Access Project (OAAP), these enhancements will contribute to local beautification and modernization as our community seeks to improve connectivity between I-880, I-980 and the cities of Oakland and Alameda.
