Marinship Development Interest was selected as the asphalt concrete paving subcontractor for Phase 2 of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Biosolids project. The Biosolids project arose out of the cities need to future-proof the existing sewer system in adherence with the latest Seismic Safety Standards. This project was completed as part of the SFPUC’s Sewer System Improvement Program, a 20-year, multi-billion-dollar citywide investment to upgrade aging sewer systems. Our teams installed a 500 ft long french drain and performed utility trenching, mass paving of 70,000 sq. ft. We also conducted grinding and paving of 38,000 sq. ft. of existing asphalt.
We are proud to serve the third largest municipal utility agency in California in modernizing and implementing operational improvements to the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant (SEP), the Commission’s largest wastewater treatment facility, on which 80 percent of San Francisco relies.
