Marinship Development is performing all Erosion Sediment Control installation, maintenance and inspection per the Erosion Sediment Control Plan (ESCP) for the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project. The scope of work includes design revisions to the ESCP, installation and maintenance of best management practice (BMP) on all hard and soft surfaces, storm drain inlet protection, daily compliance monitoring and reporting. As California’s third largest municipal utility agency, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) delivers storm water management on behalf of more than 2.6 million residential, commercial and industrial Bayview area stakeholders.
The main challenge for Marinship on this scope of work is successfully managing storm water runoff during the construction and movement of hundreds of thousand yards of soil material as we work to complete this project on schedule, is making progress without disrupting standard facility operations. Based on the goals established by SFPUC, the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant Biosolids Digester Facilities are expected to be fully operational in 2025.
